Estrogen Abounds.... er, maybe not. Alice, Annette, Marianne, Wendy and I went on a "girls" trip. The bus to the Gem Theatre, with shopping along the way. Of course everyone on the bus is at least as old as I am, and more. What a great little theatre, it has tables and you can buy a bottle of wine to take in with you to share with your friends. And then this 80 year old male usher sells you "hot flash" fans, which, of course, are guaranteed because, after all, you just bought 2 bottles of red wine. We laughed so hard.
Most of the time I try to pretend that my body isn't aging, and 50 is really the new 30. But occasionally I just have to stop and say thank you for having a healthy, but "slightly used" body that allows me to feel things and do things, and appreciate it for the gift that it is. And love it for what it is, and just go with it.

Hey just had to add that if one of us ever wrote a book about our lives that one day would take a whole chapter to write! From the "forgetful" disease some of us suffered to the having to all go because we were scared of the bus bathroom and the line was sooo long for the girls and then "Hey the mens room is empty"then getting our picture taken for going in there, learning new songs, sitting in a limo for the first time and lets not forget us all getting "shushed" by some others on the bus because we were laughing so much!Of course we had smuggled some stuff in we weren't supposed to-good thing we were in the very back and then there are the "7 things single women could do for themselves" article-which we should save for the next womens night and the rest of our friends will get a kick out of them too, especially when they learn they can cut back on housework! Its so good to have friends who aren't afraid to let loose, laugh out loud and just have fun,by the way did anybody elses sides and body hurt when they got home-of course saving a horse and riding a bus could have had something to do with that too.As for getting older and Change,change,changing-its only the outside changing-we all remember how it was to be kids and how much fun we had and if it was so much fun back then why should that ever have to change? We all had school and chores to do and when they were done our reward was we could go have fun,now we have jobs and chores to do and then we can reward ourselves with fun, that doesn't have to change. So glad I've been a part of "Elaines world of fun"And lets never loose our sense of fun-even after all our other senses and body parts fall by the wayside. The end
