New Friends

I met a lot of new friends on this trip. Forty-two to be exact!! Some more special than others, but all of us going down similar paths in this mysterious journey called life. "One does not make friends, one recognizes them"

Pike Street Market, Seattle

We must be blessed, because the sun shined on us in Seattle. Three days and no rain. Here I am at Pike Street Market. What great flowers, and the most fun fish market. One of the vendors entertains you by throwing fish to each other and the crowd. Sometimes the simplest things are the most fun.

The Big Adventure: Alaska!!!

Glaciers, mountains, whales and bears...oh, my!! The landscape is more magnificant than you can imagine. And to spend this time with great friends was a most memorable moment in time. It will be carved in my memory as deep as the glaciers carved the fjords. Thank you friends.

Camping, Friends, and Wine

Northport camping and Wine Festival. The women went camping on the shores of the lake to spend time together and enjoy nature (and a real bathroom and shower). Then friends (male) and others arrived for the weekend to enjoy the Wine Festival, dancing, communing with nature and each other. What a great weekend!! In the hectic life of family, work and other obligations, it is important to stop and enjoy the great universe we live in and those we share it with.

"Hot Times....

Summer in the city, back of my neck getting hot and gritty"
Another great time at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. The annual trip was, as usual, up to expectations. Friends, fun and art. I got a great picture that feeds my desire to do a bike tour in Italy. So it is hanging in my dining room to inspire me to save for a great adventure. We'll see.

Jordan River Kayaking

This is one of the most picturesque rivers to kayak. It has wild river designation, so there are very few houses along the way. Lots of birds and vegetation. And the sounds of the water rushing by.

Dancing at the Festival

War!! In this case the band at the festival. Dancing outside in the warm weather to good music. We heard country, classic beatles, rock and roll and the best was the pink floyd imitators. Oh, and of course friends!

Summer Porch Parties and Cherry Festival

Annual Tradition! Meeting on Claudia's porch and then down to the festival for great music and the beer tent. There is no place better than TC in the summer.

Here Comes the Sun!!!

Summer!! Here we are at the annual party at the Cove. We enjoyed each other, the sun, and a great band and dancing. Boy,were my feet sore from dancing the long weekend away. Remember... "If you want a place in the sun, you have to put up with a few blisters" they must have been talking about summer here in the north.

Zoo-de-Mac Bike Tour

Friends... here I am with seven of my closest friends. Enjoying another year at the zoo-de-mac bike tour and party. A great time was had by all. It marks new beginnings for me on this journey we call life. But I recall a time when a new beginning was a solitary adventure, and this time I live in abundance, with all these great friends to share the journey with. Friends who love me and I love back. And so remember my dear friends...... "we love because it is the only true adventure" Nikki Giovanni

Living In Abundance

It is easy to say you are living in abundace when the majority of things in your life are going well, but when things get a little rough, that is when learning about truely believing in abundace is put to the test. Like all humans, I am undergoing a test. But during these hard times, I am constantly reminded of all I have, and I am ever thankful for it. Remember: live in the now, put "it"(whatever it is) out to the universe, and let it all unfold before you. What you need will appear, you just need to recognize it. Thank you, friends.

Toga Party

What can I say? There really is NO excuse.

Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio

We visited the Amish country in Ohio, the Cumberland Dam in Tennessee, and the Maker's Mark Distillery in Kentucky. If we had taken a plane, we would not have seen these great things in the heartland of America. So I am grateful for the concept of "the open road" "Be careful going searching for adventure---it's ridiculously easy to find" William Least Heat Moon
